This section displays works created over a period of 12 years, from 1996 until 2001. Pieces are partially organized by a period, and by the type of work. At times, I work concurrently on different series, and sometimes in different styles. This page has examples of some of my earliest works in clay. Some images are based on slide scans and clarity of detail varies. Unlike "Recent Works" where most works have their own gallery page, subsections in the archives are organized as a slideshow portfolio.

This section shows works created after moving to United States at the end of 2000 and ends with works made before moving to Miami in 2007.
INSTRUMENT SERIES
(1996-2000)
Throughout my early education in ceramic art, I have been fascinated and inspired by the aesthetic and design of musical instruments, particularly those of African tribal cultures. As part of that inspiration, I created a series of (mostly) ceramic instruments from 1996-2000. Some can produce sound, but they were not intended for play.
HEADS / MASKS / FIGURES
(1996-2000)
Figurative work, with the majority being interpretations of a human head, are in this section. These pieces were created from 1996 until 2000, and include works made during NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999.

This section contains images of wheel-thrown functional works. Pieces range from early student works to more recent examples made as part of faculty demos.
